You don’t have to hold it all together. Let yourself be supported
Whether you are a millennial breaking generational cycles and living in a constant state of anxiety and unease, a survivor of toxic abusive relationships struggling with feeling like you’ve lost yourself, a mother with ADHD who is constantly between feeling overstimulated and drowning in a sea of mom guilt or the adult trying to overcome self-doubt
This is the safe space for you.
It’s time to change:
You’ve been bound for far too long. But now? You’re here, and that means you’re ready to rise, break free, and reclaim your power.
I have spent my entire career trying to provide a safe space for people to grow. I have lived experience with anxiety and the constant loop that keeps running on repeat is getting tired. I want to help you realize that you aren’t supposed to feel this way and that there is another choice.
How I work
Client’s describe me as genuine, compassionate & challenging.
HI, I’m Chantel,
The face behind Empowering Peace Counseling. I’m a therapist, a wife, a mom of five, and a firm believer that iced coffee is a love language. As part of the late ADHD diagnosis club, I have learned to harness that energy to help me think fast, connect dots others might miss, and keep therapy sessions anything but boring. I am all about empowering others, embracing inclusivity, and helping people move past their own bullsh*t.
When I’m not in therapist mode, you’ll find me with my nose in a dark smut romance, listening to the early 2000 emo punk rock bands, rewatching Gilmore Girls or Vampire Diaries for the 100th time, or hiking in nature.
If you’re ready for real talk, deep healing, quick-witted banter, and some nerdy references along the way you’re in the right place.
Therapy with me is…
-
You’ve spent so much time trying to keep everyone else happy that you’ve convinced yourself that this is just how life works. Spoiler alert: it doesn’t have to. I don’t do cookie-cutter therapy. I tailor the plan on your personal journey and what you bring forward.
-
Honesty truly matters. In a world full of criticism and emotional manipulation, it’s easy to lose trust in others—and even in yourself. My commitment is to be open, nonjudgmental, and real with you. It’s an honor to hear your story, and I will always share what I see with honesty and care.
-
Learning to understand yourself is important. I want to give you all of the tools to help when things feel out of control. However, I also want to work on manifesting the life you want by digging beyond the surface. We don’t just want to dress up the skeletons and make them pretty, I am here to help bury them for good.
-
Emotions are raw. They get trapped in our bodies and we fight to avoid them and push them away. Therapy together at times will uncomfortable because we tackle the hard stuff. You are going to have a safe space to feel valid and be met with curiosity, gentle challenge, and respect.

I believe that talk therapy is great to learn coping and to understand ourselves. I believe that deeper healing can also be achieved but that we need to look at alternative options which is why I utilize Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems framework, Attachment theories, and nature based therapies. I believe that finding purpose and connection is better served through a body brain approach.
